Hello everyone, well I don’t know about you but this year seems to have flown by quicker than a Rory McIlroy tee shot. It is safe to say we had a better summer this year in terms of the weather and hopefully you all made the most of it. Even though the winter season is now upon us, trust me when I say before you know it the season will be back on our doorstep. In the meantime the weather is being kind to us so far for this time of year, so get out and do 9 holes and keep the swing in check, hit some balls on the much improved driving range and come and see us in the Clubhouse, get in the Christmas spirit early. On behalf of everyone here at the Club we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year in 2015.

RORY McILROY GOLFER OF THE YEAR BUT WILL HE BE SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR?
Well undoubtedly it has been Rory McIlroy’s year, with his Open and USPGA championship victories in a glorious summer, sandwiching a World Golf championship victory and who can forget Europe’s wonderful victory over the Americans at Gleneagles in the Ryder Cup, with Rory giving a valuable contribution. Now all eyes will turn to see if Rory can become BBC Sports Personality of the Year for 2014. I think he has a great chance with possibly Lewis Hamilton as main rival for the title. Captains Christmas Message
Merry Christmas to all the members from your Captain, and I hope a prosperous and productive golfing New Year. The new golfing diary is looking busy for 2015 and we have plenty of competitions for all.
Why not start by coming along to the free competition on 14th December, with our 3 clubs and a putter turkey trot, we will be having a fantastic Christmas dinner afterwards if you would like to bring your families, this is great value at £15.00 per person for all the trimmings and your first Christmas drink.
We have the Christmas advent calendar up in the club house, why not have a go and see what you could win, all going to the charities of choice this year.

…Well into its 4th year the putting studio is going from strength to strength helping golfers of all abilities to hole more putts. The latest development is the new version of Quintic ball roll software which records data on what both the ball and the putter head are doing through the impact area. Tracking parameters like how much the face is rotating and where on the putter face the putt is being struck makes it so much easier to diagnose what is stopping a player from holing more putts.
